Payout proofs from Payclose

Check a payout proof

Payclose makes a proof file for every approved payout: the exact lines that were approved, each approver’s passkey signature of those lines, and the transactions that paid them. Choose the file and this page checks all of it, without asking Payclose anything.

The file stays on your device. It is read and checked in this browser, with the browser’s own cryptography. Nothing is uploaded or stored.

Payouts with a proof like this, every month

Payclose keeps a team’s contractor payouts in one place, checks every address before anything is sent, collects passkey approvals and reconciles each payment on-chain. It never holds funds or keys: your team signs from its own wallet.

Free during the beta. EVM networks, from a Safe or a regular wallet; TRON later.

Questions

What does a payout proof show?

The exact lines that were approved (each address, token and amount) and their fingerprint; for every approval, the approver’s passkey signature of those lines, made on their own device after a fingerprint, face or PIN check; how many different people approved and how many the organization’s rule asked for; and, once the payout was paid, which transaction paid each line.

Is the file uploaded?

No. The file is read and checked in this browser, with the browser’s own cryptography, and never sent to Payclose or anyone else. Nothing is kept in cookies or browser storage; close the tab and it’s gone. The page counts that a check ran and how many checks failed, never what the file contains.

Why does it not need trust in Payclose?

An approval is a passkey signature made on the approver’s device, and Payclose keeps only public keys, so it cannot sign one. The page recomputes the fingerprint from the lines in the file and checks each signature against it. Change a line, an address or an amount and the fingerprint changes, and no signature matches it anymore.

What does it not check?

It doesn’t look anything up on the network: open each transaction on the block explorer from the links to see its transfers. And it can’t tell who holds a passkey: the name and email next to each approval are Payclose’s record of whose passkey it is. What the signature proves is that this passkey approved exactly these lines.

Where do I get a proof?

In Payclose at run.payclose.app: open an approved payout, then Download proof on its Approvals tab. Once the payout is reconciled, Next step offers it too. Any member of the organization can download it and share it with an auditor or an accountant.
