Changelog
Updated
What changed in Payclose for the people who use it: the app, the free tools and the docs. Newest first, one week at a time. Updates also go out on X, @paycloseapp.
- App. USDT on Base is no longer offered. The contract Payclose listed there was a bridged copy of Ethereum USDT, not a token Tether issues, and an exchange may not credit a deposit of it. Lines and default tokens in it now show a note: pick another token, such as USDC on Base. Payouts already paid in it stay on record. See networks and tokens.
- App. The Safe CSV Airdrop file now has only the columns the CSV Airdrop app accepts. Until now the app refused it, because of an extra decimals column. See the CSV Airdrop file.
- Tools. A free Safe CSV Airdrop file builder: it turns a payout sheet into files for the CSV Airdrop app in Safe{Wallet}, one per network, with every amount exact and every address checked.
- Site. Pages on contractor payouts from a Safe multisig, paying contractors in USDC and the payout approval workflow.
- Site. What Payclose can and can’t do with your money: the short security model, with how to report a vulnerability. And a guide to address poisoning and company payouts.
- Site. All the free tools on one page, /tools, and Tools and Security in the header.
- Site. An about page and this changelog.
- App. The recipient portal: the people you pay can confirm their payout address with a signature from their own wallet, propose a new one the same way, and see what you paid them. Owners can require the recipient’s confirmation before a new address is approved, and email recipients a receipt for each payment. See the recipient portal.
- App. Add recipient can invite the recipient to the portal in the same step.
- App. Payout proofs: Download proof on an approved payout gives a file that anyone, an auditor or an accountant, can check at payclose.app/verify without an account and without trusting Payclose.
- App. With several wallet extensions in your browser, Payclose asks which one to use.
- Site. Payclose is on X: @paycloseapp.
- App. Payclose is open for sign-up at run.payclose.app, free during the beta. Get started on this site leads there instead of the waitlist.
- App. Run a monthly payout: keep your recipients and their payout addresses, copy last month’s payout or import a CSV, see what changed, and collect approvals signed with passkeys.
- App. New payout addresses are checked for look-alikes and checksum errors, approved by someone other than the person who proposed them, and can’t be paid until 24 hours after approval.
- App. Pay from a Safe on Ethereum, Base or Arbitrum: Payclose prepares one batch, a Safe owner signs it in their own wallet, and the owners execute it in Safe{Wallet}. Teams that don’t connect a wallet can download a CSV Airdrop file instead.
- App. Pay from a regular wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby: in one transaction where the wallet can batch transfers, otherwise one per line.
- App. Once a payout is paid, Payclose checks every transfer on-chain against the approved lines and gives you a reconciliation CSV. Paid outside Payclose? Paste the transaction hash and it’s checked the same way.
- App. Send feedback from the sidebar, with the technical details it attaches shown before you send.
- Docs. Guides to the app as it works today, with screenshots.
- Site. payclose.app went live, with a waitlist for the app.
- Tools. The free payout diff checker compares last month’s payout CSV with this month’s: who was added or removed, whose amount or address changed. It runs in your browser; the files are never uploaded.
- Tools. The free payout address checker checks a list of payout addresses for look-alikes, checksum errors and addresses on the wrong network, also in your browser.
